The following photos were taken in September 1999 in Pune, India while I was on an outreach.
This was at an orphanage just outside Pune, India. Orphanages in India are not only for the young, but widows with no family are often found there as well. This lady did not speak English, but she was leading us in worship in English. She stayed like this while she sang and only occasionally looked up at us.
This little girl was in the market. That mark on her nose is the first sign of Leprosy.
A bangle merchant and her son.
This little boy was at the second orphanage we visited during our time in Pune, India.
This was at a Hindu temple we were doing a prayer walk around. She came up to us and tried to start a conversation in her broken English.
The cows can go anywhere they want to in India. If a vehicle hits a cow and survives, he is in trouble with the law.
Daniella dressed in traditional dress.
This was at one of the churches we visited.
